Abstract
Background: Excessive workloads can lead to physical and mental fatigue and reduce the quality of care. Optimal nurse performance is essential to maintaining the quality of healthcare services and patient satisfaction. Therefore, it is important to understand the relationship between workload and nurse performance in community health centers.
Purpose: To analyze the relationship between workload and nurse performance at Singosari Community Health Center and Ardimulyo Community Health Center, Malang Regency.
Research Method: This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of all nurses at both community health centers using a total sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire on nurse workload and performance. Data analysis used the Spearman's Rho correlation test with SPSS.
Result: The majority of nurses had a moderate workload (83.8%) and good performance (62.2%). The Spearman's Rho test showed a correlation value of r = -0.564 with p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant negative and moderate correlation between workload and performance.C
onclusion: There is a significant relationship between workload and nurse performance in community health centers. A higher workload tends to decrease nurse performance, while a lighter workload contributes to improved nurse performance.
