Abstract
The Pocil (Junior Police) extracurricular activity plays a significant role in shaping students' character indirectly by having them act out roles similar to real police officers. This activity integrates both theoretical and practical learning components that aim to instill discipline through structured extracurricular participation. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Pocil extracurricular activity in shaping students' discipline character at SDN 1 Landungsari. The background of this research is based on the limited number of elementary schools that systematically implement Pocil, despite its proven effectiveness in instilling character values from an early age. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Pocil program is systematically designed through school policies, internal regulations, organizational structure, a planned schedule, and the involvement of competent trainers and supervisors. The selective and structured training process fosters positive habits in students, such as adherence to rules, a sense of responsibility, and social skills. Moreover, the program develops leadership, cooperation, and strong commitment, which are reflected in various school activities. Regular evaluations, reward and punishment systems, and the active involvement of teachers, principals, and parents support the program's success. In conclusion, the Pocil extracurricular activity has proven effective in shaping students’ discipline, both academically and socially, and serves as a suitable model for character education in primary schools.
