Abstract

Classroom learning typically uses printed textbooks as teaching materials. Therefore,
researchers attempted to develop digital flipbook teaching materials that could be used in
Indonesian language learning. This study aimed to develop flipbook teaching materials for
children's stories based on Pancasila student profiles for fifth-grade students at
Muhammadiyah 3 Assalaam Elementary School, Malang City.
This study uses R&D (Research and Development) research and the research model
used is the 4D research model. The data source is 31 students of grade V of Muhammadiyah
3 Assalaam Elementary School, Malang City, in the 2025-2026 academic year. This study
was conducted in July 2025 in three stages, namely limited trials, broader trials and
operational trials. Limited trials were conducted to determine students' responses to
children's story flipbook teaching materials based on Pancasila student profiles involving 10
students, broader trials were conducted to obtain input in improving children's story flipbook
teaching materials based on Pancasila student profiles involving more students of 31
students, while operational trials were conducted to determine the effectiveness of children's
story flipbook teaching materials based on Pancasila student profiles.
The results of the study showed that the use of flipbook teaching materials based on
Pancasila student profiles for fifth grade students of Muhammadiyah Elementary School in
Malang City facilitated teachers in the teaching and learning process with a very appropriate
category of 98.05%, while the use of flipbook teaching materials based on Pancasila student
profiles for students with a very interesting category of 92.86%. So that flipbook teaching
materials based on Pancasila student profiles can be used in learning. The results of this
study, flipbook teaching materials based on Pancasila student profiles are recommended to
be used as a reference in compiling teaching programs and teacher tutoring to develop other
learning materials that can support learning success.
