Abstract
Mathematics is a compulsory subject for students because it is very useful in everyday life. However, based on observations and interviews conducted at SDN Mojolangu, Malang City, most students do not understand the concept of multiplication, and teachers rarely use learning media. Therefore, the researcher took steps to address the problems faced in the learning process.
The research was conducted using ADDIE model, which has five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative analysis. This research was conducted in the fourth grade of SDN Mojolangu 1, Malang City, during the 2025/2026 academic year. The data source for this research was the fourth grade, consisting of 13 students.
The results of the research on the development of the Rokalitung (Multiplication Wheel) media, based on the validation results from material experts, obtained a 95% score and a 90% score from media experts. The validation test results indicated that the media was categorized as feasible. The evaluation results obtained by students showed a percentage of 90.38%. The evaluation results demonstrated that the use of the Rokalitung (Multiplication Wheel) media can help students understand multiplication. The Rokalitung (Multiplication Wheel) media also managed to attract students’ interest in learning, as evidenced by the results of student responses (96.15%) and teacher questionnaire responses (93.13%). However, this media has shortcomings and requires improvement for future research. The results of this study suggest that the Rokalitung (Multiplication Wheel) media can be used as another choice of learning media to achieve learning success.
