Abstract
This study aims to develop ULTASI (Modified Snakes and Ladders) as a learning medium for the Physical Education subject on the topic of basic locomotor movement combinations for fourth-grade elementary students. The research was motivated by the lack of engaging and varied learning media, as well as the minimal integration of traditional games in Physical Education at SDN Beji 01, Batu City. The ULTASI medium is expected to create a more enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere suitable for the characteristics of elementary school students.
The study employed the ADDIE development model, which includes five systematic stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques to determine the feasibility and user responses to the developed product. The research subjects involved material experts, media experts, teachers, and fourth-grade students at SDN Beji 01 Batu City.
The results showed that the ULTASI learning medium is highly feasible and very engaging for use in learning. The material validation obtained a score of 84%, while the media validation reached 85%. Furthermore, student responses reached 95%, and teacher responses reached 96%, both categorized as excellent. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ULTASI learning medium is effective and innovative for Physical Education learning, as it enhances students’ learning interest, active participation, and understanding of basic locomotor movements. The ULTASI media is suggested to serve as a foundation for further development, both in terms of concept and design. Future research is expected to enrich the variety of locomotor movement materials and serve as a reference in developing other learning media that meet students’ learning needs.
