REPRESENTASI RASA KEHILANGAN DALAM KELUARGA (Analisis Semiotika Video Klip Sal Priadi - Mesra - Mesraannya Kecil - Kecilan Dulu)

The feeling of loss is an emotional condition that naturally arises from within humans. It is a condition in which humans experience loss due to death, separation, or the absence of someone with whom they have an emotional attachment, such as family, friends, and loves ones. The music video “Mesra-Mesraannya Kecil-Kecilan Dulu” by Sal Priadi is made one representation of the feeling of loss within a family as depicted in the media. Within a family, there are people who are close and loved. This music video is appealing to viewers because many people outside of it also experience the same feelings.
Semiotic is how humans give meaning to what they see and what is around them. The reasercher here uses Ferdinand de Sassure’s theory, which employs two stages of meaning: Signifier (the signifier) and Signified (the signified). Essentially, semiotics, according to Ferdinand de Sassure, aims to interpret directly, involving the physical components of a sign, such as phrases, sounds, symbols, or images. This stage can be used to describe the representation of feelings of loss in the music video “Mesra-Mesraannya Kecil-Kecilan Dulu” by Sal Priadi in terms of its visual aspect and lyrics.
This research uses qualitative approach with an interpretative research type and semiotic method. This type aims to reveal the meaning off feeling of loss that appear in the music video. Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic method is used to analyze the data by collecting scenes, describing and analyzing them, then the interpreting the data to reach conclusions an linking them to Kubler-Ross’s theory of loss and dissecting the lyrics as reinforcement.
The results of the study, show that loss can change people’s perspectives on life in the future. Many phases of sadness and resilience are found as humans strive to continue living. How control the emotions that arise within oneself, as well as communication with family. Because once the phase of loss has passed, family togetherness will once again become war. Thus, this study is hope to enhance readers understanding of the representation or interpretation of a sign of loss.
