Abstract
Background: ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is the most severe form of acute coronary syndrome, characterized by severe chest pain and a high risk of mortality. Pain management is a crucial component of STEMI patient management. One potential non-pharmacological intervention is a combination of lavender aromatherapy.
Purpose: To Analyzing the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy techniques in relieving pain in STEMI patients in the ICCU of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang Hospital.
Method: The research method used in compiling this Final Scientific Paper uses a case study report. The author follows the scientific method according to the principles of the nursing process, which includes assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation, and evaluation referring to the SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI. The assessment process uses data collection through interviews, observation, documentation, and participatory studies.
Outcome: Following nursing interventions such as lavender aromatherapy, pain levels gradually decreased from a scale of 8 to a scale of 6. Furthermore, oxygen saturation and respiratory conditions improved. The patient also showed signs of improved comfort, both subjectively and objectively.
