KORELASI BOBOT LAHIR DENGAN PBBH DAN TINGGI BADAN PEDET HEIFER FRIESIAN HOLSTEIN UMUR 4 BULAN DI PT GREAT GIANT LIVESTOCK

Birth weight is the basis for the early growth of calves. Calves with ideal birth weight tend to have better growth performance than calves that are too small or large, the purpose of this study is to find out how strong the relationship between birth weight and PBBH of heifer calves, and to determine the growth performance of calves through PBBH in the dairy farm of PT Great Giant Livestock. The benefits of research have been carried out to be a growth performance parameter through calf PBBH. The livestock used are 21 female calves with the age of 4 months, which are located at the dairy farm of PT Great Giant Livestock. The research method used in this study is quantitative method, birth weight data will be measured in kilograms, which are obtained from the company. The body weight at the age of 4 months will be measured in kilograms, which is obtained from the company. Calf pbbh data is measured in kilograms/day, data is obtained from manual calculations.
The collected data will be analyzed using appropriate statistical methods, such as Pearson correlation test analysis. The result of the correlation of birth weight with calf PBBH was 0.468 and the correlation interpretation was moderate according to the table 2.1 degrees of relationship. The correlation result was 0.309 with a weak correlation interpretation based on the table of 2.1 degrees of relationship. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between birth weight and PBBH of 4-month-old heifer calves with a significance value of 0.032, and there is no weak relationship between birth weight and the height of 4-month-old heifer calves with
