Abstract
This study aims to analyze the efforts of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) in promoting Japanese tourism in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique is carried out through a literature review, where data obtained from literature related to the topic of discussion, to strengthen the analysis of the problems studied. The New Public Diplomacy theory is used as an analytical framework to understand the efforts made by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) in promoting Japanese tourism. The results of the study show that the efforts to promote Japanese tourism by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) in Indonesia involve a combination of offline activities such as exhibitions and cultural events, collaboration with airline agents and digital approaches through social media and influencer collaboration. This approach shows positive results in increasing the number of Indonesian tourists visiting Japan and strengthening cultural relations between the two countries.
