Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a disorder characterized by a mismatch between thought patterns, feelings, and emotions, with one of its hallmark symptoms being hallucinations. About 75% of patients with schizophrenia experience auditory hallucinations, and the majority do not respond effectively to long-term antipsychotic therapy. The implementation of Strategy Planning (SP) is a form of generalist therapy effectively used to reduce the level of hallucinations, provided by nurses as care providers. Another approach to preventing negative risks in patients involves administering psychoreligious therapy in the form of murotal therapy and dhikr therapy
Objective: To evaluate the implementation of generalist therapy (SP 1-4) and psychoreligious therapy (murotal therapy and dhikr therapy) in patients with auditory hallucinations.
Research Method: This research used a case study design that explored nursing care in patients with schizophrenia experiencing auditory hallucinations.
Results: The study found differences before and after patients received the combination of generalist therapy and psychoreligious therapy.
Conclusion: The case study shows that the combination of generalist therapy and psychoreligious therapy is effective in reducing and controlling auditory hallucinations in patients with schizophrenia. Patients showed decreased frequency and intensity of auditory hallucinations, improved emotional control, and high adherence to treatment.
