Abstract
Construction project delays are a common challenge that significantly impact both budget and project timelines. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Time-Cost Trade-Off (TCTO) method as a strategy to accelerate the completion of the Support Cable Ladder LVMDB & Fire Command Building Project at PT Indolakto in Pasuruan, East Java, which experienced delays starting from the seventh week. The approach involved two
primary acceleration scenarios: additional overtime hours and an increase in the number of workers. Critical path analysis was conducted using Microsoft Project, with calculations
of crash duration, crash cost, and cost slope for each scenario.
The results showed that adding 3 hours of overtime per day could reduce the project duration to 81 days, with an additional cost of Rp 54,603,468. Meanwhile, increasing the workforce by 30% achieved a similar reduction in duration with a lower additional cost of
Rp 15,722,449. The comparison between the two scenarios indicates that increasing the number of workers is more cost-efficient. The application of the TCTO method proved
effective as a strategy for mitigating delays and controlling project budgets. This study provides practical insights for project managers in making economically sound and measurable decisions when addressing project delays.
