Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has led to the emergence of a new approach to software development, namely the Low-Code Development Platform (LCDP). Software development on this platform offers high productivity due to the ease provided by LCDP, which accelerates the development process and reduces overall costs. Moreover, LCDP enables non-technical users with limited knowledge of software engineering to independently develop their own software projects thanks to its easy to use.
Despite its growing popularity, there remains a scarcity of estimation methods specifically suited for software development on LCDP. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the applicability of the Function Point Analysis (FPA) method to Low-Code platform. The findings of this research indicate that the system being analyzed has a Function Point value of 177.48, with an estimated development time of 7.1 months and a projected cost of IDR 61,060,000.
These results demonstrate that Function Point Analysis is a suitable estimation method for systems developed using Low-Code platforms. Unlike traditional estimation models that rely on lines of code, FPA evaluates the functionality provided by the system..
