Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of soft skill and organizational experience on the work readiness of members of the Muhammadiyah Student Association at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The issue in this research is based on the importance of work readiness as a fundamental asset for students in facing the increasingly competitive job market. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The sample consisted 68 repondents who were IMM UMM members that had served as daily board members or organizational officers during the 2021 – 2023 period. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The result of the study show that soft skill and organizational experience simultaneously have a significant influence on the work readiness of IMM UMM members. Partially, both soft skill and organizational experience have a positive and significant effect on work readiness. These findings indicate that the higher the level of soft skill and the more extensive the organizational experience possessed by students, the better their level of work readiness. Therefore, it is essential for students to actively develop their soft skills and engage in organizational activities as part of their strategy to prepare for entering the workforce.
