PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PADA TRADISI MITONI DI DESA BOCEK KECAMATAN KARANGPLOSO KABUPATEN MALANG

This study aims to describe character education in the Mitoni Tradition in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency. The formulation of the problem in this study is as follows (1) How is the procession of the Mitoni Tradition in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency?, (2) What is the meaning of the Mitoni Tradition in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency?, (3) What are the values of character education in the Mitoni Tradition in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency.
The method used is the Descriptive Method with an ethnographic approach. The data for this study are the results of in-depth interviews with informants and observation notes. The data sources in this study are (1) The phenomenon of the Mitoni Tradition in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency., (2) Informants. Data collection techniques (1) Interviews., (2) Observations., (3) Visual documentation. Data analysis techniques (1) Data reduction., (2) Data presentation., (3) Conclusion drawing.
The results of this study (1) The Mitoni tradition has three processions, namely 1. gebyak, 2. bathing children in the river and tumpeng rice feast, and 3. mapak anak., (2) The meaning and purpose of the mitoni tradition is to cleanse oneself from bad luck and disease with the hope of being replaced with health, safety, and abundant sustenance., (3) The values of character education in the Mitoni tradition in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency are five 1) Religious, 2) Love of the Homeland, 3) Tolerance 4) Caring, 5) Creative.
