TINDAK TUTUR DIREKTIF DALAM NASKAH DRAMA ELEGI MUSIM PANAS KARYA CHANDRA KUDAPAWANA

This research aims to describe the directive speech acts in the drama script Elegi Musim Panas by Chandra Kudapawana. The research question of this study is What are the forms of directive speech acts found in the drama script Elegi Musim Panas by Chandra Kudapawana?
This study employs a descriptive method. The data source is the drama script Elegi Musim Panas by Chandra Kudapawana. The data consist of the author’s narrative texts and the characters’ dialogues in the script. Data collection techniques include reading and analyzing, studying the source, and categorizing the findings based on the research focus. The data analysis consists of three parts: first, data classification; second, data presentation; and third, drawing conclusions.
The results show that there are 17 directive speech acts in the script Elegi Musim Panas by Chandra Kudapawana, which include: (1) 4 utterances of requesting, (2) 6 utterances of commanding, (3) 3 utterances of questioning, (4) 1 utterance of permitting, and (5) 3 utterances of prohibiting.
