Abstract

Project delays occur due to inadequate scheduling, resulting in discrepancies between the planned schedule and actual field progress. The PERT method is a probabilistic scheduling approach in which the duration of each activity allows for potential delays and does not guarantee the acceleration of the project completion schedule.
This study analyzes the acceleration of the construction project duration for the STIKES Kepanjen Dormitory Building, undertaken by PT. Histori Karya, with a project value of IDR 40,449,000,000. To achieve on-time completion, the PERT method was applied with acceleration alternatives in the form of extended working hours (overtime) and additional manpower. The analysis of cost calculations due to acceleration using the PERT method resulted in an estimated cost increase of IDR 2,772,264,778. The total required cost was IDR 43,221,187,560 compared to the normal cost of IDR 40,449,000,000.
