Abstract

Construction management is a system for regulating construction activities that involves various professional disciplines to achieve efficiency in cost, quality, and time. However, construction projects often experience delays due to discrepancies between planned schedules and actual field implementation. Factors contributing to delays include design changes, project conditions, weather, equipment and material shortages, and labor requirements. To address this issue, project duration acceleration methods such as fast track, crash program, and time-cost trade-off (TCTO) are required.

This study analyzes the acceleration of the construction project for the West GDH Inpatient Building and Vascular Center Sidoarjo, carried out by PT. Santo Jaya Etika Beton, with a project value of IDR 46,503,500,000.00. The Time-Cost Trade-Off method is applied using acceleration alternatives such as overtime work and additional labor. The objective of this analysis is to determine the maximum acceleration duration with minimal additional costs, ensuring the project is completed on time without causing losses to either the contractor or the owner
