Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of digital literacy in honing the literacy skills of fourth grade students at Purwantoro 1 State Elementary School. In honing the literacy skills of fourth grade students at Purwantoro 1 State Elementary School in Malang City. Digital literacy is one of the strategic solutions in improving students' literacy skills in the ever-growing digital era.
This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the research showed that teachers have utilized digital media such as e-books, learning videos, and digital platforms (Google Classroom). and digital platforms (Google Classroom, Canva, Quizizz) in the learning process. The use of this media is proven to hone literacy skills and students' interest and engagement in literacy activities, and encourages them to think critically and retell information in writing to think critically and retell information in writing and orally. Supporting factors for the success of this implementation include the availability of adequate digital infrastructure, parental and government support, and teacher innovation in the preparation of teaching materials. teachers in the preparation of teaching materials. However, challenges remain, especially in terms of the different levels of literacy skills among students.
With thus, digital literacy has a significant role in honing students' literacy skills at the primary school level. Literacy skills of students at the primary school level. From the research conducted, there are suggestions that need to be considered by the school, namely the socialization of digital literacy in order to hone the literacy skills of grade IV students at SD Negeri Negeri IV.
