Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Earning Per Share (EPS), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Equity (ROE), and firm size on stock price changes of companies listed in the LQ45 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022-2024 period. The research is motivated by the phenomenon of stock price volatility among LQ45 issuers, which, despite having strong fundamentals, still experienced significant fluctuations. A quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis was employed. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 30 companies over three years of observation, with a total of 90 data points. The results indicate that EPS has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, while DER, ROE, and firm size show no significant effect. The adjusted coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 10.3% suggests that stock price variations can only be explained to a limited extent by the variables in this model, while the remaining 89.7% are influenced by other factors beyond the study. These findings highlight the importance of EPS as a relevant financial signal for investors in making investment decisions, while also showing the limited explanatory power of DER, ROE, and firm size in the context of LQ45 stock price changes under economic uncertainty.
