MENULIS KREATIF NOVEL BERSELANCAR MENITI CINTA KARYA MUHAMMAD RAAFI ABDURRAHIM

This research discusses the creative process of writing the novel Berselancar Meniti Cinta as a final project oriented toward literary creation. The writing process of the novel consists of several stages, namely exploring ideas and concepts through the selection of themes and messages, developing characters and their traits, determining the setting of place, time, and atmosphere, outlining the storyline, expanding the manuscript into more complex parts, allowing the manuscript to rest for a period of time, and finally editing to refine the work. The creative process of the author is also divided into three phases: the pre-writing stage, which involves conducting research, reading references, and drawing from personal or others’ experiences; the writing stage, which includes awareness of self and environment, maintaining the rhythm of writing, and constructing elements of coincidence in the story; and the post-writing stage, which consists of revising, reflecting, and producing new works.
The novel Berselancar Meniti Cinta narrates the journey of the main character, Bunga, in experiencing her first love until she builds a small and happy family. The plot is enriched with conflicts between the female and male protagonists, adding both tension and excitement to the narrative. Based on readers’ responses, this novel is considered light and enjoyable to read, although it requires stronger character development and more dramatic effects in its conflicts to enhance the storyline.
This work is expected to provide readers with both entertainment and inspiration regarding the dynamics of personal life and social relationships. Furthermore, through the creation of this novel, the author seeks to emphasize originality as well as a distinctive style in expressing literary ideas.
