Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive learning media in the form of PAPA LIA (Pancasila Smart Board) on Pancasila symbols and precepts for grade I elementary school students. The background of this research is the low understanding of students of Pancasila material and the lack of concrete media that is interesting and in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood.
This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of the study were 21 students in grade I of SDN Gunungsari 01 Batu City. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instruments include observation guidelines, interview guidelines, expert validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Validation was carried out by material experts and media experts with results of 95% and 83.11%, which shows that the media is very feasible to use.
Data analysis was carried out quantitatively descriptive using the Likert scale and percentage calculation. The results of the trial showed that PAPA LIA media increased students' interest and understanding of the symbols and precepts of Pancasila with a percentage of completeness of 70.83%. Thus, this media is effectively used in the learning process of Pancasila Education that is fun, interactive, and in accordance with the stages of early childhood cognitive development. As a recommendation, researchers are further advised to consider choosing materials such as wood that are lighter and easier to carry, in order to improve comfort. Media design can also be designed more attractive with colorful decorations to add enthusiasm for students.
