Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of the Wafa Method approach with the kalam learning theory according to Mahmud Kamil Al-Naqah, a prominent figure in modern Arabic language education. The Wafa Method is known for its engaging approach through visual, audio, movement, and emotional media, which is claimed to be effective in improving students' absorption and retention. Furthermore, Mahmud Kamil Al-Naqah emphasized that kalam learning must be communicative, contextual, and aimed at developing functional language skills. This study employed a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data were collected from various relevant literature sources, both on the Wafa Method and Mahmud Kamil Al-Naqah's language learning theory. The results indicate that the Wafa Method aligns with Mahmud Kamil Al-Naqah's kalam learning principles, particularly in creating an active, enjoyable learning environment that involves full student participation. However, the Wafa Method needs further development to focus not only on memorization and repetition but also on contextual and communicative language skills. Therefore, the integration of the Wafa method and Mahmud Kamil Al-Naqah's communicative approach is highly recommended to achieve optimal kalam learning outcomes.
