Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of plotagon-based video learning media to improve students' Arabic vocabulary memorization skills and to determine its effectiveness in seventh-grade students of MTsS Assa'idi Rejosari Bantur, Malang Regency.
The study used an associative quantitative method. The research subjects were 20 seventh-grade students at MTsS Assa'idi, consisting of 11 female students and 9 male students. Data collection was conducted through interviews with subject teachers, homeroom teachers, observations of learning activities, and pre-test and post-test questions. The test data was presented using Arikunto's (2010) assessment standards. The data analysis technique used the related sample T-Test and the N-Gain effectiveness test.
The results of this study show two conclusions: (1) Learning using plotagon-based video media has been proven to help improve students' memorization abilities, as seen from changes in the average pre-test and post-test scores. The average pre-test result was 64.75 and the average post-test result was 89.25. (2) Learning using plotagon-based video media is included in the fairly effective category with an average N-Gain percent value of 66.7677 and an average N-Gain score of 0.6677, which is included in the moderate category.
