Abstract
Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) or chronic kidney failure is a health
problem in which the kidneys fail to maintain metabolism and fluid and
electrolyte balance. Chronic kidney failure can affect the patient's sleep pattern
due to increased levels of inflammatory cytokines due to several physiological
factors, environmental factors and physical disease factors
Method: The research in this final scientific work uses a case study. The
researcher conducted an assessment using Virginia Henderson's theory of basic
needs. Data were collected through assessment, physical examination,
observation, and patient and family interviews. The main nursing problem is
disrupting sleep patterns with the intervention of murottal al-Qur'an therapy and is
evaluated every day using the PSQI questionnaire
Results: The results of this case study giving murottal therapy were able to
improve the patient's sleep patterns. The patient is able to start sleeping and looks
more refreshed. Psychologically and spiritually, the patient has shown
improvement
Conclusion : Al-Quran murottal therapy is effective for treating sleep disorders in
patients with chronic kidney failure
