Abstract
This research is motivated by the challenges in Fiqh learning, which often remains theoretical, leading to a lack of in-depth understanding and student activeness. The Jigsaw Technic is considered to have the potential to overcome these problems through the principles of collaboration and learning responsibility.
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Jigsaw technic and examine its impact on improving student understanding and engagement in Fiqh learning at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Adopting a qualitative approach, with a case study research type, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.
Based on the research conducted, it was shown that the Jigsaw technic, through its home group and expert group stages, is effective in enhancing student understanding and activeness. The increase in understanding is evident from their ability to explain the material comprehensively and apply it. Meanwhile, student activeness is demonstrated by their participation in discussions, initiative, and courage to express opinions.
