Abstract

Enrichment books serve as additional resources that enrich the learning process of students, although there are still obstacles in integrating the curriculum and technology. This research was conducted by developing books in accordance with PT Intan Pariwara standards. The purpose of this research was to develop an enrichment book entitled Menyatu dalam Warisan, Pengetahuan, dan Budaya (Uniting in Heritage, Knowledge, and Culture) as a suitable Indonesian language learning medium for eighth grade junior high school students.

The method applied was Research and Development (R&D) using the R2D2 (Recursive Reflective Design and Development) model; however, this research only reached the validation stage without the dissemination stage. The validation was conducted by junior high school teachers on a small scale using the Likert scale, with validity analysis using Aiken’s V method developed by Lewis R. The book was compiled based on guidelines from the Curriculum Center and Intan Pariwara Edukasi Publishers and adapted to the needs of eighth-grade junior high school students. The book was designed using communicative language, attractive illustrations, and technological features as learning innovations.

The book “Menyatu dalam Warisan, Pengetahuan, dan Budaya” contains explanatory text material related to cultural, natural, social, and technological development phenomena. The book is thematically and interactively structured, complete with reading and writing exercises, as well as digital features such as videos and quizzes accessible via QR codes.

Validation results show a suitability percentage of 0.901 for content, 0.908 for media, and 0.945 for language. With an average of 0.918, the book is categorized as suitable for use in Indonesian language learning. The book is aligned with Phase D of the Merdeka Curriculum and is deemed capable of supporting effective learning and meeting the needs of students
