Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model using the TPACK approach (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning for third-grade students at SDN Sisir 03 Kota Batu. The integration of PJBL and the TPACK framework seeks to improve the quality of learning through a meaningful combination of content mastery, pedagogical strategies, and technological tools. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the third-grade teacher, the school principal, and students. The results showed that the lesson planning was aligned with TPACK principles, although the lesson module did not explicitly include PJBL syntax. The teacher designed learning activities involving technological tools such as educational videos, PowerPoint presentations, and online information searches, along with project-based activities aligned with IPAS learning objectives. During implementation, the teacher systematically carried out the PJBL syntax, starting from formulating essential questions to reporting project results. TPACK integration was evident through the combination of relevant content, collaborative learning strategies, and the use of digital media. Evaluation was conducted by assessing both the learning process and final product using a rubric that covered cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. In conclusion, the implementation of the PJBL model based on the TPACK approach positively impacted students’ active engagement and conceptual understanding.
