IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG DAPAT MEMPENGARUHI TERJADINYA STUNTING PADA BALITA DI DESA TANGKILSARI DAN JATISARI KECAMATAN TAJINAN KABUPATEN MALANG

Background: Stunting is one of the chronic nutritional problems in toddlers that has long-term impacts on physical development, cognitive abilities, and productivity in the future. Tangkilsari and Jatisari Villages have a stunting prevalence that remains high.
Objective: This study aims to identify the factors that may influence the occurrence of stunting among toddlers in Tangkilsari and Jatisari Villages, Tajinan District, Malang Regency.
Methods: This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design. The study sample was selected based on inclusion criteria to ensure it was representative of the population and to reduce research bias.
Results: The findings showed a significant relationship between stunting incidence and birth weight (p = 0.001), birth length (p = 0.001), maternal knowledge (p = 0.002), parental income (p = 0.005), history of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.000), and history of complementary feeding (p = 0.001).
Conclusion: The dominant factor influencing stunting among toddlers in Tangkilsari and Jatisari Villages, Tajinan District, Malang Regency, is birth length categorized as short.
