PERAN UN WOMEN DALAM MENANGANI PERMASALAHAN KESETARAAN GENDER DI INDIA 2016-2021

Gender equality is a problem faced by countries globally and internationally. India is a country where gender issues have increased annually between 2016 and 2021. This research is interesting because it explores the role of UN Women, which is then implemented in India. Therefore, the focus of this research is the role of UN Women in supporting gender equality issues in India between 2016 and 2021. This research uses the concept of International Organizations to analyze the role of UN Women as an Arena and as an independent actor. The research method used is descriptive with qualitative data analysis techniques through literature studies. The results of the study indicate that UN Women has a significant role in fighting for women's rights and changing the social order regarding Gender Equality in India. The implication of this research is the importance of public awareness and support for social movements to create better changes in protecting women from gender inequality.
