Abstract

This study aims to determine the students' perception of applying YouTube animation content ‘Imam Bukhori Series’ in istima' course. This research uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The object of this research is students of Arabic Language Education Study Program year 2022. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, documentation to support the validity of research data. Data analysis was carried out using deductive and inductive approaches to draw conclusions.
The results of this study are, Students' perceptions of this media are very positive, they consider this animation more interesting, interactive, and fun compared to previous learning media such as video lectures or native speaker audio which tends to be monotonous. Students find it more helpful in understanding istima' material because of the visual support, clear narration, and easy-to-understand story context. Students can enrich their vocabulary and get used to listening. Students feel this media can increase their learning motivation. The findings show that educational animation content with visualisation and auditory presentation can improve students' understanding and motivation to learn.
