Abstract

Abstract
Aryandy Bimby Arifatur. 2025¹. Representation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in Children's Stories in Indonesian Language Learning Books. Thesis. Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP Muhammadiyah University Malang. Advisors: (1) Candra Rahma Wijaya Putra, S.Pd., M.A (2) Purwati Anggraini, S.S., M. Hum

This study aims to examine the representation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in children's stories found in Indonesian language textbooks. The main focus of the research includes the substance of the elements that build children's stories, as well as the implementation of P5 character values in the context of learning. Character education, as the basis of P5, plays an important role in shaping the behavior, values, and attitudes of students so that they are able to live in society and have integrity and social awareness.
Children's stories as a literacy medium are considered effective in instilling these values because they contain moral messages, rich vocabulary, and strengthen children's language skills. Previous studies have highlighted the application of P5 in the context of learning activities, but have not specifically discussed the integration of P5 values in children's stories in textbooks.
Therefore, this research is relevant to see how children's stories can effectively represent the P5 principles and have a positive impact on character building in students. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of teaching materials that support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in strengthening literacy and character in elementary school students.
