ANALISIS PENYIMPANGAN SEKSUAL DAN PENDIDIKAN SEKSUAL DALAM NOVEL AIB DAN NASIB KARYA MINANTO

Sexual deviance refers to sexual activities carried out by an individual in an inappropriate or abnormal manner in order to obtain sexual pleasure. One writer who has successfully built characters with deviant behavior is Minanto. His novel, first published in 2020, explicitly presents various forms of sexual deviance experienced by the characters, especially adolescent characters who are one of the main focuses of the story. What is interesting and worth examining in Minanto's work is how the author implicitly shows efforts of sexual education carried out by characters surrounding those exhibiting deviant behavior. The aim of this study is to describe the forms of sexual deviance and sexual education depicted in the novel Aib dan Nasib by Minanto.
The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data and sources of data in this research consist of sentences, dialogues, and monologues found in the novel Aib dan Nasib by Minanto. The research technique involves five steps: (1) identifying the data, (2) classifying the data, (3) analyzing the data, (4) compiling the research findings, and (5) drawing conclusions from the study.
The results of this study show that sexual deviance occurs in the novel Aib dan Nasib by Minanto. The forms of sexual deviance identified include: (1) adultery, (2) prostitution, (3) sadism, (4) bestiality, (5) obscenity (pornography), (6) impotence, (7) scatalogia, and (8) seduction (rape). The forms of sexual education found in the novel Aib dan Nasib are: (1) social development, (2) physical development, and (3) issues of sexuality. This novel demonstrates that sexual deviance does not arise in a vacuum, but rather grows from environments lacking education, insufficient guidance for adolescents in understanding sexual contexts, and a failure to instill moral values and self-control from an early age. Research on Aib dan Nasib by Minanto has broad implications for contemporary society. The depiction of sexual deviance in this novel opens space for critical dialogue on sexuality that violates social and cultural norms, and highlights the importance of implementing sexual education within the surrounding environment.
