This study aims to determine the effect of using Crossword Puzzle media in improving the mastery of Arabic vocabulary (mufrodat) among fifth-grade students at SD Islam Al-Ghaffar Malang. The background of this research is based on the low interest and learning outcomes of students in Arabic vocabulary learning, which is caused by the absence of engaging learning media. The research method used is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental design in the form of a Time Series. The sample in this study consists of all fifth-grade students at SD Islam Al-Ghaffar. Data collection instruments include observation, interviews, documentation, and tests (pretest and posttest). The research results show that the use of Crossword Puzzle media significantly improves students’ vocabulary mastery. This is evidenced by an increase in the average student score from 73.57 (pretest) to 90.07 (posttest), along with a decrease in the standard deviation from 10.910 to 5.824, indicating more evenly distributed student scores. Thus, the Crossword Puzzle has proven to be an effective, interactive, and enjoyable learning medium that can enhance student motivation and learning outcomes in mastering Arabic vocabulary.
