Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Teaching Factory (TEFA) model in
Vocational High Schools (SMK) with Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD)
status in Malang City, focusing on SMKN 2, SMKN 3, and SMKN 4. The TEFA
model connects education with industry, enabling students to learn in real work
like environments. The research identifies the role of professional employees in
supporting school production units. Using a quantitative descriptive method, 90
workers were surveyed. Results show that Workload and Work Environment
significantly enhance Employee Performance, both directly and through Job
Satisfaction as an intervening variable. This study contributes to the development
of effective vocational learning models and improves graduates' readiness and
competitiveness in the labor market.
