Abstract
This study aims to analyze the application of the principle of good faith in the legal relationship between service providers and consumers in online entrustment services, using a case study of the Instagram account @Titipin.ajha. The research adopts an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach, combining analysis of relevant laws and regulations with field data collected through direct observation, interviews with the service provider, and literature review. The research was conducted
purposively at the @Titipin.ajha entrustment business, which has been operating since 2019 and has a broad consumer base. The data were analyzed using a descriptiveanalytical method to provide a systematic overview of how the principle of good faith is applied in online entrustment service transactions. The findings reveal that the service provider applies the principle of good faith by providing honest information on prices, ordering procedures, and taking responsibility for product delivery. However, violations were identified from the consumer side, such as submitting fake transfer receipts, resulting in financial loss for the provider. This situation emphasizes that the principle of good faith must be upheld reciprocally by both parties, considering the unequal bargaining positions in online entrustment transactions. Therefore, it is
essential to foster legal awareness among service providers and consumers to ensure fair and accountable transactions. This study also highlights the need for more specific and binding legal regulations concerning online entrustment services in the digital era.
