Abstract
Background : Musculoskeletal disorders are among the most common occupational health problems experienced by office workers due to poor posture and prolonged working hours. Prolonged sitting combined with non-ergonomic working positions can lead to muscle tension, reduced circulation, pain, and functional limitations.
Objective : This study aimed to determine the relationship between working duration and working posture with musculoskeletal disorders among office workers at 24Slides.
Research Methods : This was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 40 office workers selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used were a working duration questionnaire, the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire to assess musculoskeletal complaints, and the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method to observe working posture. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test.
Result : The results showed a significant relationship between working duration and musculoskeletal disorders (p = 0.007), as well as between working posture and musculoskeletal disorders (p = 0.036).
Conclusion : It can be concluded that the longer the working duration and the poorer the working posture, the higher the risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. It is recommended that workers apply ergonomic principles and take regular stretching breaks, and that companies provide routine ergonomic education and evaluations.
