Abstract

This study aims to analyze the experiences of domestic violence (KDRT) victims in receiving assistance services from the Technical Implementation Unit for the Protection of Women and Children (UPTD PPA) in Malang City. The research used a socio-legal approach and was conducted through interviews with two respondents—a mother and her child—who were victims of domestic violence. The findings revealed that the victims suffered both physical and psychological abuse, which significantly impacted their emotional and mental well-being. Although UPTD PPA was established as a support service provider, the victims encountered various challenges in accessing assistance, including delayed responses and insufficient tangible support. This study highlights the need for optimizing the role of UPTD PPA in delivering responsive, timely, and comprehensive services to domestic violence victims and emphasizes the crucial role of family and community support in the victims' recovery process.
