This research aims to develop Pop-Up Book learning media in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) human respiratory organ material for students in class V of Elementary School. The development of this media is based on the lack of variety of interesting learning media and in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school students. It is hoped that the Pop-Up Book media can help students in understanding the material in a more visual, concrete, and fun way.
The method used in this research is the research and development method (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects in this study are students of class V SDN Purwodadi 01. The instruments used include material expert validation sheets, media experts, as well as student and teacher response questionnaires to developed products.
The validation results from material experts showed a percentage of 89%, and from media experts 95%, which means the media is declared very valid and suitable for use in learning. In addition, the implementation results show that Pop-Up Book media can increase student interest and involvement in the science learning process. Thus, Pop-Up Book media is effectively used as a thematic learning media, especially on the material of human respiratory organs in grade V of Elementary School. Based on research and development findings, Pop-Up Book media helps the learning process at SDN Purwodadi 01 in the science subject of human respiratory organs. learning media must be used to support learning in class. This will prevent students from getting bored and increase their enthusiasm for learning.
