Abstract
This study aims to examine the social problems faced by schizophrenia patients and the
rehabilitation processes carried out by the Bina Laras Social Rehabilitation Unit (UPT) in Kediri.
The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth
interviews, observation, and documentation. The social rehabilitation process at UPT RSBL Kediri
consists of five main stages: intake, assessment, rehabilitation process, evaluation, and
resocialization. During the assessment stage, patients are evaluated by social workers and medical
personnel to determine their condition and the necessary rehabilitation measures. During the
rehabilitation process, patients participate in various activities covering physical, mental, social,
spiritual, skills, and recreational aspects. Evaluations are conducted periodically to monitor patient
progress, and if necessary, patients can repeat the rehabilitation phase. Patients who are declared
recovered are prepared to return to their family and community environment. The results of the study
indicate that the multidisciplinary approach and structured rehabilitation stages at UPT RSBL Kediri
are effective in helping restore the social function of schizophrenia patients and preparing them for
reintegration into society.
