Abstract
The emotional development of elementary school students, especially in the early grades, is an important aspect that influences the learning process and social interaction at school. Based on the results of interviews at SDN Purwodadi 03, it was found that grade 3 students face various emotional problems, such as lack of social interaction, family background, and less supportive learning environment. Teachers have a strategic role in dealing with these problems through guidance and counseling services provided individually according to the needs of students. This strategy helps students manage their emotions better, increases comfort in learning, and forms positive characters in accordance with the values of the Pancasila Student Profile. This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy in handling the emotional development of grade 3 students at SDN Purwodadi 03 through guidance and counseling services.
This study aims to describe teacher strategies in handling the emotional development of grade 3 students at SDN Purwodadi 03 through guidance and counseling services. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with the researcher acting as the main instrument in collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data were obtained from interviews with class teachers, while secondary data came from the principal, students, and related documents. The study was conducted at SDN Purwodadi 03, Pasuruan, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study are expected to provide a comprehensive picture of teacher practices in assisting the emotional development of early grade students in a real and contextual manner.
This study examines teacher strategies in handling the emotional development of grade 3 students at SDN Purwodadi 03 through guidance and counseling services. SDN Purwodadi 03 through guidance and counseling services. The implementation of services is carried out directly by class teachers incidentally because there are no professional BK teachers available. Teachers apply counseling techniques, play therapy, and utilize concrete media such as expression boards and expression cards to help students express their emotions. Service planning is carried out simply but adaptively, including problem identification, flexible schedule preparation, and informal evaluation
