OPTIMALISASI PENGELOLAAN KREDIT UNTUK MENCEGAH KREDIT BERMASALAH PADA PT BANK RAKYAT INDONESIA (Persero) Tbk CABANG MALANG SUTOYO

This paper aims to identify the main causes of the emergence of non-performing loans to customers of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk in the last three years and analyze the credit management optimization strategy applied in accordance with banking best practices. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Malang Sutoyo Branch. The results showed that some of the main causes of credit
problems were weak creditworthiness analysis, lack of supervision of debtors, and unstable macroeconomic conditions. The strategy applied by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk in suppressing non-performing loans by improving credit analysis, implementing credit restructuring for problematic debtors and increasing credit monitoring and evaluation. This research is expected to assist financial institutions in implementing better credit management strategies to prevent non-performing loans.
