Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation process of multi-method-based fiqh learning and evaluate its effectiveness at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. The research utilizes a mixed method approach with a exploratory sequential . The research was con-ducted at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. The research informants include a fiqh subject teacher (initial A) and students (initials B1, B2, B3, and C1, C2, C3). Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, which were then ana-lyzed using the steps adapted from Miles, Huberman, and Saldana: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.
The results of this study indicate that, first, the implementation of Fiqh learning be-gins with initial activities, which include offering opening greetings, reciting the opening prayer, taking attendance, and conducting an oral pre-test based on the previously taught material. This is followed by the core activities, which involve conveying the learning objectives, delivering the material, and utilizing appropriate methods and media. The final stage includes drawing conclusions and providing reinforcement. Second, the effec-tiveness of multi-method-based Fiqh learning was measured using a paired two-sample t-test. The results showed a comparison between the pre-test and post-test scores, with a P-value of < 0.05, namely 0.000, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results.
Multi-method-based Fiqh learning has proven effective in improving students’ un-derstanding and skills, particularly in performing the five daily obligatory prayers (shalat fardlu). Based on the results of evaluations and observations, students demonstrated im-provement in performing the movements and recitations of the prayer in accordance with Islamic teachings. The use of varied teaching methods also enhanced students' motiva-tion to actively participate in the learning process, encouraging them to better understand and practice religious teachings.
