Abstract
This research aims to understand (1) the implementation process and (2) the im-plications of religious character building through the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 'Aisyiyah Kertosono. The study employs a qualitative ap-proach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Sal-dana model.
The research findings show: First, the Tahfidzul Qur'an program builds character through Thomas Lickona's three stages: (1) Moral knowing - students acquire knowledge of moral values, Qur'an reading etiquette, tajwid rules, and makharijul huruf, along with internalization of verse meanings; (2) Moral feeling - fostering love for noble morals, habituating prayer for inner peace, and developing respon-sibility to achieve memorization targets; (3) Moral action - real manifestation in daily behavior, formation of positive habits such as discipline and responsibility, and consistent practice of religious values in school, family, and community en-vironments.
Second, the program's implications for religious character building are evident in Glock and Stark's five dimensions: (1) Religious belief - increased faith in the Qur'an as Allah's book; (2) Religious practice - daily worship habits such as dhuha prayer and morning dhikr; (3) Religious feeling - growing enthusiasm and pride in memorization; (4) Religious knowledge - ability to integrate verse mean-ings into daily life and master proper tajwid rules; (5) Religious effect - for-mation of religious character including discipline, responsibility, trustworthiness, courtesy, and empathy through social activities.
