Abstract
In the context of village development in the era of regional autonomy, village governments hold strategic responsibilities in its implementation. Demands for village independence are currently emphasized, especially on the independence of village financial management. Villages are required to continue to develop strategies in various sectors to increase village revenue. The purpose of this study is to identify strategies initiated and carried out by the Sukowidi Village Government in increasing Village Original Income in Sukowidi Village, Panekan District, Magetan Regency.
This research used descriptive qualitative methods. The research subjects included the Village Head, Village Secretary, village officials, BPD leaders, and BUMDes administrators. Data were obtained from primary sources through direct interviews with relevant parties and secondary sources in the form of official documents and relevant literature. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and interviews, while data analysis was conducted through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
The results showed that Sukowidi Village succeeded in increasing Village Original Income (PADes) through the management of Widi Lestari BUMDes based on local potential, with business units such as vehicle washing, savings and loan units, tractor rentals, and local coffee management. The BUMDes' contribution to PADes increased from IDR5,000,000 in 2022 to IDR26,364,000 in 2023, with a turnover of IDR87,880,000. This success demonstrates that local potential-based economic management can improve village self-reliance, supported by clear regulations, community participation, and professional and effective managerial strategies.
