Abstract
Background: Lung cancer patients often experience acute pain due to tumor invasion. Pain not only has a physical impact, but also affects the emotional and spiritual condition of the patient. Murrotal Al-Qur'an therapy is a non-pharmacological intervention that is believed to be able to provide a relaxing effect and reduce pain perception through a psychospiritual approach.
Objective: This study aims to identify the pain of lung cancer patients before and after the Murottal Qur'an Therapy (Ayatul Kursi) intervention, with colaboration theraphy pharmacological.
Method: The type of research in this scientific paper uses a descriptive method in the form of a case study, data collection was carried out at Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang, on March 10-13, 2025, the data collection method was carried out by interviews, observation & physical examination and documentation, The measuring instrument used to measure pain through the Standard Output contained in the SLKI such as pain complaints, pain scale, grimacing and Pulse frequency on a scale of 5 indicators (increasing-decreasing).
Results: After the intervention of murottal al-quran therapy, it was found that the level of pain on the second and third days had significant changes, where on the first day the patient experienced pain with a fairly severe score, the second day became moderate and on the third day became mild, the pain scale decreased from a scale of 4 to a scale of 1 on the first to third day, the grimacing condition increased to a significant decrease on the third day to a condition of grimacing decreased, the pulse rate increased on the first day, which was 117x / minute on the third day to 97x / minute, there was a decrease. Conclusion: Based on the results of the observation of the analysis of murrotal Qur'an is able to reduce pain receptor stimulation, causing the brain to release endogenous natural opioids, where these endogenous natural opioids are permanent to block pain nociceptors, so that this therapy is able to reduce pain that occurs in lung cancer patients.
