Abstract
Optimism is a psychological factor that is able to give individuals confidence and strength so that goals are achieved through positive action. Endemic transition is a period of time from a pandemic leading to an endemic with several signs and rules that have been established, including a transmission rate of less than 1% and the ppkm level is local transmission. Endemic conditions that hit Indonesia. At the beginning of 2020, students made learning boldly because they became passive, less creative and productive. The aim of this research is to find out the level of student optimism in facing endemic times with a total of 212 psychology students as subjects. Sampling uses total probability sampling. This research uses an optimism scale based on the concept of Seligman's theory. The results of the analysis show that the majority of students, namely 181 people, are included in the low optimism category, while a small portion, namely 31 people, are included in the moderate optimism category.
