Abstract
Background : Chronic kidney failure (CKD) is an irreversible and progressive decline in kidney function, which is a pathophysiological process with various causes that can result in a decrease in kidney function, usually ending in kidney failure.
Methods : This research uses a case study strategy. In this study, we analyzed nursing problems and the intervention of giving 0.9% Nacl compresses to patients who experienced pain after post-cannulation hemodialysis. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and test methods to determine the patient's pain scale. Patients were given 0.9% Nacl compresses for 4 days with 4 hours in one meeting.
Result : From the evaluation results after applying the 0.9% Nacl compress for 4 days with 4 hours per appointment, it was found that the 0.9% Nacl compress could reduce the pain scale in patients post hemodialysis cannulation with the pain scale before the 0.9% Nacl compress being the 4 and after compressing Nacl 0.9% it becomes scale 1.
Discussion : with carrying out 0.9% Nacl compress intervention therapy while the patient is in hospital, it can reduce the pain scale in post-cannulation hemodialysis patients.
