Abstract
Generation Alpha is children born between 2010 and 2024. Since childhood, they have been accustomed to the digital technology around them. This directly shapes the way they learn, communicate, and understand information, resulting in different learning styles among them compared to previous generations. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Generation Alpha's learning styles in the digital era, describe the most dominant learning styles, and investigate the contribution of teachers in facilitating these learning styles.
Research with the title Alpha Generation Learning Style Analysis in the Digital Age uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SDN Batur 02.
The results showed flexibility in choosing how to learn and the ability to adapt to changes in technology and teaching styles are the main characteristics of Generation Alpha. While the dominance of learning styles of fifth-grade students at SDN Batur II is visual and kinesthetic learning styles. And teachers play an important role in directing the positive use of technology and adjusting teaching methods to the characteristics of students' learning styles. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more relevant and effective learning strategies for Generation Alpha, especially in facing challenges and opportunities in the digital era.
