Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of social rehabilitation services provided to children who are victims of narcotics, psychotropics, and other addictive substances (NAPZA) abuse at the Ghana Recovery Madura institution, which is under the auspices of the Ghanation Pamekasan Foundation. The main focus of this study is to understand the stages of social intervention, the forms of services provided, and the approaches used by the institution in efforts to restore the physical, psychological, and social conditions of children who are victims of NAPZA abuse. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews with foundation managers, doctors, counselors, and children undergoing rehabilitation, as well as conducting direct observations of ongoing rehabilitation activities at the institution. The results of the study indicate that the social rehabilitation process at Ghana Recovery Madura includes several stages, namely the initial approach, assessment, preparation of problem-solving plans, problem solving/intervention, resocialization of rehabilitation services, termination of program services, further guidance. The approach used is holistic, combining psychosocial, spiritual approaches, and life skills training as provisions for post-rehabilitation life. However, this study has several limitations, including the relatively short time frame for data collection and limited access to data on children who have completed the rehabilitation program due to confidentiality and personal data protection. For further research, it is also recommended to conduct a longitudinal study to observe the long-term impact of the rehabilitation services provided. In addition, researchers are also advised to expand the scope of the study by comparing service models in various similar rehabilitation institutions in order to provide a more comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of social rehabilitation programs for children who are victims of drug abuse.
