Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of financial inclusion in mediating the influence of financial technology and financial literacy on the financial performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Batu City. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected from 150 floriculture-based SMEs through proportionate random sampling. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant impact on financial performance, while financial technology does not show a direct significant effect. Financial inclusion significantly affects financial performance and partially mediates the relationship between financial literacy and financial performance. However, it does not mediate the effect of financial technology. These results highlight the importance of strengthening financial knowledge and improving access to formal financial services as key strategies to enhance the performance of SMEs.
